While in general I like to do weddings, some weddings are just more fun to do then others. I found that I’ve become pretty good in predicting what kind of wedding it is gonna be and wether or not I am gonna have fun or not. Ok, ofcourse I know I am not there to have fun perse, but it’s always a bonus when the couple is nice and I have a great time too. Let’s face it; in general I am there for about 12 to 14 hours sometimes, so I better enjoy it while I am there!
Yesterday was one of those couples that are just so warm and sweet and lovely that it was a pleasure to be their photographer for the day. Ofcourse by the end of the day I was exhausted but that’s kind of normal…

They got married in the center of Amsterdam with the key location being the Vondelpark. Fantastic location but nightmare when it comes to parking and in general the logistics of the place. So while the couple moved around on a scooter (love that!!) I parked my car at the Museumplein and moved around on a bike. How Dutch can it be, right?
The reactions of the public were fantastic so that alone was fun and it made a change from jumping in and out of my car. All in all, it was a splendid wedding, beautiful weather and a lovely couple!

How cute is the scooter! I’m sure they’ll be happy with these Simone. I have a lot of respect for wedding photographers after the few weddings I’ve shot…

I had an amazing photographer at my wedding – by the way a double wedding with my sister and from the bride’s point of view…a good photographer is key! I don not intend to marry again, so for me it was important to capture those precious moments beautifully!!!
