Well…. what can I say? I had never been to the famous cheesemarket in Alkmaar and we thought it was time to change that and we decided to have a look for ourselves. So we went there this morning. It was ridiculously busy, so we struggled to get close enough to be able to see anything, so we moved around the square and I decided I might as well climb the fence or not see anything at all. I am normally not that adventurous but there were one or two other photographers that had done the same, so I figured they wouldn’t kill me if I stayed out of the way. So I did…
As it turns out it was the last cheesemarket of the season and Frans Bauer (famous Dutch singer, for those of you that do not know him) was present at the cheesemarket, making some kind of performance. Not sure what it was for, but there was a filmcamera and they were repeating things, so maybe for a videoclip or something like that. Anyway… I have to confess I don’t particularly like his music (I think it is kind of awfull, but then everybody is entitled to their own taste in music right?) but since he was more or less right in front of me, I took a few photos anyway….
