Now, why would anyone hate Jamie? Last night I prepared a morrocan noodle dish I found on his website, shrimp and vermicelli stuffed whole fish with morrocan spices, baked in the oven. I smile when I saw this, because cucumber soup was one of the very few things I used to HATE as a child. I wasn’t very picky, but I just couldn’t eat this – which is even weirder when you consider that I love, and have always loved, cucumbers in every other form. I haven’t tried this soup in a while… but my tastes have changed quite a bit since childhood, so maybe I should give it another chance. Maybe in the summer, though. [Reply]

This sounds so summery!!! Giving me hopes that spring & summer is around the corner (Is it?? ) I am seeing cardinals around. Yes sounds Indian.. we make something called Raita, where we add chopped cucumber to beaten plain yogurt and season it with roasted cumin powder, chili powder and salt.. sometimes mint or cilantro. Sometimes one has to cut corners! I have found some “home made” stocks at the supermarket that I use when there is no time for the real thing. Theya re not the same, but are better than a cube. I have to try the pho now that the weather is getting cold. [Reply]

Oh well, I know you love me anyway and would certainly whip up something this yummy if I dropped by for lunch. I like his cooking style and flavors and enjoy his cookbooks. This looks like a great dish my family would love.
