Oh, Simone, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is, having lost my pet rabbit is still fresh in my mind. Twenty years is a very long life for a cat, but it’s also a large section of our own lives, which makes it hard to say goodbye.

It sounds like Witje was a great cat, and that you gave her a very good life that she wouldn’t otherwise have had. Your post and pictures are a lovely tribute to her.

What a beautiful tribute to your dear dear friend. And, what a miracle that you were home. Poor kitty… yet, how wonderful that the day started out as usual. An indication that there was no ongoing pain… and the convulsion would be so hard for you to go through… did Witje regain consciousness before leaving you? And, another blessing that Tom was nearby. Big hug to both of you. This will be a very difficult time… especially when you see a puddle of sun without Witje basking in it.

I know it’s hard especially when a few months ago you also lost your other cat (was it Joepe?). Simone..I’m so sorry to hear that Witje passed I lost a beloved kitty back in ’04 and still miss him. I have two sweeties now, but it never erases the loss. Witje was a beautiful, beautiful cat and is now your kitty angel *hugs*
