I cannot believe that the year is almost over…. So much has happened this year both personally and professionally and now… it is almost over and another year is waiting to be filled… I am kind of glad the whole christmas is over, as much as I love and hate it..:)
It was fun, we had too much too eat, but we also had a good time cooking. Turns out Tom and I are great teamworkers when it comes to the kitchen! Ofcourse that was not a huge surprise as we do cook together more often, but usually not in such large quantities or over so many different dishes.
Newyears will be spend at friends, as we do every year. It’s become kind of a – good – tradition and while my friend and I usually spend lots of time making all sorts of different dishes, this year it will be a little less of that. I have to work tomorrow as will she, so I guess we both have less time plus I just don’t feel like it for some reason…. Too much cooking over christmas maybe?
I am looking forward to another year of great cooking! I’ve already began thinking about what to make… As is the same every new year… I do have to loose some weight… haha… so I will try and cook healthy dishes which I love to make anyway, so should be fine… (she says all confident..ahum..)
I have a few culinary things I would love to do this newyear and one of them is for Tom and myself to go on a base course in cooking in Amsterdam. It’s not so much doing recipes but more about all the different methods of preparing fish, meat, vegetables and desserts. It’s 6 lessons with a different ingredient each lesson and I am really looking forward to it!
It starts in march so still a few months away, but I think it’s gonna be fun.
Then I would love to go to the US and follow a one on one workshop with Michael Ray. That is; if he ever replies to my email…:) He’s probably out for the holidays and I am being my impatient self. Anyway, not sure if that is going to happen, but I think it might be a good thing for me. He is a master in lighting and I do feel I could learn a lot from him. So more to follow on that!
Anyway, lots of plans for the newyear so I will keep you posted, but for now I wish every one a fantastic newyear and keep safe with all the fireworks!!
