My name is Simone and I am a food photographer from the Netherlands.

I didn’t start out as a photographer and my career has known many different paths, from working as a nurse all the way to working as an operations manager for a large sporting company. In 2006 I took the plunge and started my company Junglefrog Images.

Junglefrog Cooking followed in 2008 even though at that time it was called Junglefrog Adventures… That those adventures were mainly food related became apparent quite quickly so I changed the name to Junglefrog Cooking.

As of this year I am 100% (well ok 90%) dedicated to food photography only. In order to separate the two a little bit I created a separate portfolio website for my food photography which is Fresh Food Photos.

Beginning of 2012 Alexandra from Alexstyling and me started a series of workshops for foodbloggers in the south of Holland which is very popular. We have been featured on the Dutch culinary website Culy and a small article appeared in one of the biggest women’s magazines in Holland, Viva. The workshop is geared towards bloggers who want to improve their photography as well as their table styling without spending a fortune on new gear.

Apart from that I also have a Dutch culinary website which is more a magazine style website and which is run with several other bloggers.
